It so happens that two of our DDP10EF customers in the UK currently have articles in major magazines.
Blazing Griffin have articles in TVBEurope and Broadcastnow describing a grading suite with Baselight.
The article in TVBEurope with Dirtly Looks describes grading of Peaky Blinders with DaVinci Resolve. They are using other tools such as Baselight as well.
Although there is no mentioning of the DDP10EF in the articles the grading systems are connected to the DDP10EF shared storage server via a 100GbE connection to share material at high bandwidth.
The bandwidth protocols used are NVME-oF/RDMA and iSCSI. NVME-oF/RDMA sustains a bandwidth of some 8GB/s on a workstation. It is not that this bandwidth is always needed but it certainly helps to speed up the grading process.
When fully equipped with ten NVME SSDs the read bandwidth is 40GB/s while writing is more then 20GB/s. So there is also enough bandwidth for others to share.
Also in both situations a DDP24EX storage array with hard disks is connected to the DDP10EF.
Within the same A/V FS file system both SSDs and hard disks can be accessed simultaneously.
